Dr Monika Parkinson
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in various settings including the NHS, Higher Education and Private Practice.
Currently I hold a post in the NHS as a Highly Specialist Paediatric Psychologist, helping young people and families both at Royal Berkshire Hospital and the Dingley Child Development Centre. Previously I was the team lead for a small NHS Primary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
I have carried out clinical research at the University of Reading and was awarded a Department of Health NIHR fellowship to investigate family support in teenage depression. I currently hold a Visiting Fellow position at the University of Reading.
I have provided training, teaching and supervision to a range of qualified professionals and students in training.
I have various publications, including a number of books for professionals and self-help books for young people and families.
